Capital Murder: Eva Lindsey

According to Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin, a Gadsden woman has been arrested in connection to a baby’s death in 2014. Authorities say 57-year-old Eva Lindsey of Gadsden, was arrested today and charged with one count of capital murder, which is a felony. Results returned to the Sheriff’s Office today, from the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences autopsy report states the baby died from blunt force trauma. The baby died at Children’s of Alabama, Birmingham, on February 26, 2014. The female infant was 6 months old at the time of her death. She was taken to a local doctor’s office on February 24, 2014 and then transported to a local hospital, then to Children’s hospital. Lindsey is being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center without bond.
