The Jacksonville State Freshman Forum Hosts One Day Without Shoes

Today, the Jacksonville State University Freshman Forum put on the sixth annual One Day Without Shoes at JSU. Participants say this day reminds us that there are numerous children and young adults suffering from the consequences of not having suitable footwear. The day of awareness was filled with activities on the lawn including barefoot relays, one-for-one crafts, scavenger hunts, and raising money. The day culminated with their "barefoot parade" around Trustee Circle, where students, staff, and faculty joined together to get a first-hand experience of what going barefoot daily would feel like.
