Cherokee County Suffers Weather Damage

The National Weather Service Office sent out a survey team to Cherokee County today, to determine exactly what caused the damage in the severe thunderstorms that moved across the area this morning.  According to reports, several eyewitnesses observed what appeared to be a tornado drop from the sky briefly before causing significant damage. There were at least 2 people who were treated for minor injuries. It caused wind and possible tornado damage. A home, a vehicle and a barn were completely destroyed on Keener Drive in Leesburg.
