Tuesday, April 21, 2015

Etowah County’s tactical squad responds to a two-and-a half hour hostage situation, today in Hokes Bluff.  The incident began just after 9:00AM this morning with a report of a domestic violence incident between a man and a woman.  It was believed that the woman was being held in a home on Ford Valley Road. According to Etowah County Sheriff spokeswoman Natalie Barton, authorities are seeking the whereabouts of 28-year-old Timothy Brandon Brady.  He is considered armed and dangerous. Barton says Brady is the focus of what authorities say was a barricade situation this morning.  The woman suspect is Lindsey Berry and she was found walking on a road in the woods off New Liberty Road in Calhoun County. Barton says Berry was in constant contact with hostage negotiators and that is how they located her.  Anyone who sees Brady is asked to call the Etowah County Sheriff's Office.
