National Guard Rescue Technicians Attend a Surface Water Rescue Training Course

National Guard Rescue Technicians are participating in the Anniston Regional Training Alabama Fire College Surface Water Rescue Class this week at Neely Henry Dam in Ohatchee. The Swift Water Surface Water Rescue program offers safety techniques and is a 40-hour certification course that involves dangerous elements.  Alabama Fire College Instructor Ricky Roberts says he is hoping that he can teach the students the skills to rescue water bound victims. The 25 National Guard technicians that are participating in this week’s training are from South Carolina.
