Boy Scout Troop Trailer Stolen

Boy Scout Troop 58 in Gadsden is hoping a thief has a change of heart and returns their stolen trailer that was taken this past weekend. The trailer held about $8,000 in equipment. That includes new tents, cook stoves, propane tanks, camping equipment, heaters, axes, shovels, rope, tools and a parking tent. The trailer also contained about 80 years’ worth of memories going back to the 1930s. The white trailer, parked outside East Gadsden United Methodist Church, off South 8th Street, was about 16 feet long and had the troop logo on the side. Information on the camper has been shared through social media, but anyone with information should contact the Gadsden police at (256) 549-4500.
