Auburn Lab Tech Accused of Selling "Date Rape" Drugs

A judge has ruled an Auburn University lab technician accused of selling a "date rape" drug will remain in jail pending trial. U-S Magistrate Judge Wallace Capel Jr. ruled today there was probable cause that 64-year-old Stephen Howard sold a form of the drug to undercover police officers while brandishing a handgun. The judge denied a request to release Howard on bond. The judge called Howard a "danger to the community." A grand jury is expected to hear the case.
