A bill that would annex White’s Gap Estates and Pebble Creek subdivisions into the city of Jacksonville passes the Senate. The legislation, sponsored by Representative K.L. Brown of Jacksonville, is a little different from what the council proposed in December. Brown says for the businesses down Highway 21 it puts them all on an even keel. According to Brown, he introduced an amendment at the request of Senator Del Marsh of Anniston that would allow some landowners still included in the plan to opt out.The bill now goes to Governor Bentley for his signature.
