The Alabama Senate confirms Governor Robert Bentley’s appointment of Tony Ingram to the Jacksonville State University Board of Trustees, effective immediately. The J-S-U alumnus is the first out-of-state, at-large member of the board. The appointment activates a change in the board makeup following the passage of Senate Bill 284 on May 26, which reallocated the seat formerly occupied by the State Superintendent of Education. Ingram is retired executive vice president and chief operating officer of C-S-X Transportation, Inc. The Dothan native earned a Bachelor of Science degree in general business from J-S-U in 1970.
