Man That Threatened Obama is Back Behind Bars
A Birmingham man who spent time in jail for threatening President Obama in 2012 is back behind bars for violating his probation. U.S. District Court Judge Lynwood Smith recently sentenced 28-year-old Jarvis Britton to an additional six months in prison. Britton was released in late 2013 after serving a one-year sentence. In March, a probation officer recommended the judge revoke Britton's probation after he missed counseling appointments and failed drug tests. According to court records, Britton was booked into the Talladega Prison last Thursday.
