Anniston Man Guilty of Killing Co-Worker

An Anniston man was found guilty of manslaughter this week in the death of a co-worker during a fight almost five years ago. It took a Calhoun County circuit court jury four hours to return the verdict against Terrance Lamont Allen, who was originally charged with murder in the death of Dimir Burton. Allen stabbed Burton to death at the car dealership where they both worked on September 14, 2010. Allen’s lawyers argued that their client was acting in self-defense while prosecutors said it was murder. Allen will be sentenced on July 22.
