The search for the body of a Gadsden man who drowned in the Coosa River over the weekend has come to an end. Etowah County authorities pulled 30-year-old Christopher Mostello's body from the water about 5:00 this morning not far from where he had last been seen. Mostello was boating with friends about two miles downstream from Rainbow Landing Sunday afternoon when they say he went into the water, went under and never resurfaced. Some of the people with Mostello tried to save him but they were not able to reach him. Mostello's body has been sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for an autopsy.
