The high school football season will kick off nine weeks from Thursday (August 20th). This afternoon four local teams got together at Wellborn for a 7-on-7 passing camp. The Panthers hosted Weaver, Ohatchee and Alexandria in a round robin set of games. The coaches say the summer passing camps can serve multiple purposes.
From the outside looking in, it seems like passing camps are great work for the quarterbacks and skill guys, but these camps are just as much - if not a little more - helpful for the defensive players. High school teams can play in passing camps through June and July. Fall practice begins August 3rd.
