Tuesday, June 23, 2015

A local Board of Education chooses an interim superintendent at a special called meeting, today. Jacksonville City Schools names Tim Nabors as their new superintendent. Nabors says his primary concern as he begins his tenure will be teachers, faculty, and children. Board of Education President David Glass says Nabor has the right qualifications for the job, availability, and he has an eagerness to do the job. The Jacksonville Board of Education voted 4 to 1 to remove Dr. Jon Paul Campbell as superintendent of the city’s schools on June 15th. Campbell had served in the post since 2010.  Just one day after moving into his new advisory role for Jacksonville City Schools, Campbell was hired as the Director of Personnel and Operations for Etowah County Schools.
