It turns out nearly half of all married people don’t know how much money their spouse earns. A survey by Fidelity found four in ten married people couldn’t even identify which salary range their spouse falls into. About 10-percent of those who got it wrong were off by more than $25,000. Both men and women were wrong 43-percent of the time. And the knowledge gap is widening. About 16-percent more people were wrong about their spouse’s salary now than two years ago when Fidelity last did the survey. The latest survey involved about 1,000 couples.
