Alabama Law Enforcement Agency State Troopers are preparing for the big travel weekend. Officials say that area drivers need to be aware of their own driving safety and out of state drivers. Trooper Chuck Daniel says he is hoping for zero fatalities this weekend. But, he says in order for that to happen travellers must drive effectively. Daniel says the number one cause of car crashes is speed and 62-percent of fatalities come from people not wearing seatbelts. This year the A-L-E-A has worked more than 15,000 crashes, with more than 6,000 injuries and 220 fatalities.
