Etowah County’s New Chief Administrative Officer

According to Etowah County clerk Karen Bates….The Etowah County Commission announced a new county Chief Administrative Officer to replace Patrick Simms. Simms is facing child pornography charges in Chambers County. Her name is Sherrie Kelley and she is currently the county administrator for Coosa County. Her first day on the job is August 7th. Kelley has been the County Administrator with the Coosa County Commission since 2001 and prior to that served as their Assistant County Administrator as well as other positions with Coosa County and Clay County.
