Most Americans Want Tobacco Age Increased
Most Americans want to raise the minimum age to purchase tobacco from 18 to 21. A recent survey found that seven out of ten smokers wanted the change. As well as three out of every four American adults. Health experts say keeping tobacco out of teenagers’ hands could keep them from becoming addicted. The minimum age for tobacco purchases varies by state. In most states, it is 18. Hawaii is the only state where you must be 21 to buy a tobacco product.
