Cleburne County Board of Education Holds Work Session

Parents and supports from both Cleburne County and Ranburne High School have gathered at the Cleburne County High School Gym for the Board of Education work session about the on-going supplement issue.

The board allowed four people to speak at the session three of those being parents of students athletes and one of the speakers being Angela Morgan from the AEA. Morgan -being a former teacher- was able to speak on the issue on behalf of teachers.

The work session gave the Superintendent of Cleburne County Schools Claire Dryden an opportunity to share with not only the board but with the parents and supporters in attendance about the salary schedule.

This ongoing situation has been frustrating to many of the parents of student athletes and members of the community; but after events such as last nights prayer meeting with parents and athletes, the support has really brought unity into Cleburne County.

The board will meet Friday at 10:00am to vote on the salary schedule.
