Single Vehicle Crash in Cedar Bluff
Four people were injured in a single vehicle crash in Cedar Bluff over the weekend. According to Cedar Bluff Police, a 2008 Dodge Charger driven by 17-year-old Keishona Midcalf of Centre was traveling east on Boundary Avenue when she lost control causing the vehicle to slide, the car then left the roadway, struck a fence owned by the Cedar Bluff Utility Board and then struck a tree before coming to rest. Midcalf, along with two passengers, 18-year-old Shanenic Walker and 10-year-old Shanila Jackson were airlifted from Cedar Bluff School by Lifesaver to Huntsville Hospital. A fourth passenger identified as 9-year-old Shanava Jackson was transported to Gadsden Regional by Cherokee E-M-S. The exact cause of the accident remains under investigation – Cedar Bluff Police and Fire Departments, Cherokee E-M-S and the Cherokee County Rescue Squad responded to the scene.
