Sylacauga Police Chief to Become New Alabama Law Enforcement Coordinator

Sylacauga Police Chief Chris Carden accepts a position with the Alabama attorney general’s office as the law enforcement coordinator for the state. According to Carden, he accepted the position on Monday. He’s been with the department for 21 years and says he doesn’t make the department, it’s all the employees who are the important part of the team. Carden says he sent in his resume for the position in the Attorney Generals office a few months ago, receiving a conditional offer of employment last Tuesday. Carden adds that the citizens of Sylacauga have always been great and very supportive of the police department. He expects the feelings to continue under new leadership.
