Police Solve Series of Automobile Break-in’s


Ft. Payne Police Officials solve a series of automobile break-in’s with the arrest of two Ft. Payne men. A total of seven motor vehicle break-in’s occurred in the areas of Ramblewood Apartments, Cherokee Apartments and Deerfield Apartments beginning July 13th. On Wednesday of this week, one of the victims caught one of the suspects red-handed – but the individual managed to get away. Officers in the area began an immediate search – and both 20-year-old Nicholas Lane and 24-year-old Corey Armstrong were taken into custody in connection with the case. Lane was charged with 3rd Degree Robbery, six charges of Breaking & Entering of a Motor Vehicle and 2nd Degree Assault, in addition to a warrant with the city – and Armstrong was charged with 2nd Degree Receiving Stolen Property, and five counts of Breaking & Entering of a Motor Vehicle.
