JSU Board of Trustees Holds its Summer Meeting

The summer meeting of the Jacksonville State University Board of Trustees is called to order, today.  Board Chairman Jim Bennett says it was a meeting of many firsts. It was the first official meeting for JSU President John Beehler, the first meeting for new trustee Tony Ingram, and SGA President Tyler Brown and Faculty Senate President Windon Edge were also welcomed to their first meeting in their new roles.  Chair of the Building and Finance Committee, Ronnie Smith, brought forth the 2015 to 2016 Interim Budget, they also proposed Resolution 568, which is a resolution to renovate the President’s House, with a proposed budget of more than $300,000, also, the board clarified terms in President Beehler’s contract, and a 10-year lease has been executed with RMC to create a simulation lab for the College of Nursing.
