The Mary G. Hardin Center for Cultural Arts and the Imagination Place Children’s Museum will host an extraordinary event for children this Saturday. During Kidstown Alive, children will be able to meet real-life counterparts who do the jobs of the Imagination Place child-sized town. Deputy Director Tom Banks says, children will be able to talk to a banker in the bank, meet a grocer in the grocery store, and visit with medical personnel in the medical clinic. There will also be police officers, fire fighters, and civic leaders on hand to meet the children and talk to them about their careers. Banks adds that the center is always trying to have something extra going on with Imagination Place. And he says that the attraction coming up will be spectacular. Kidstown Alive will take place Saturday from 10:00AM until Noon. There will be additional activities such as games, face painting, and a passport book for real world counterparts.
