For more than 55 years, children and adults have been experiencing miracles through the programs and services provided by East Central Alabama United Cerebral Palsy. The agency has been providing people struggling with disabilities and their families much needed support for many years. The agency has given their clients the opportunity to achieve their goals and reach their maximum potential. To help continue to fund that great success, the East Central Alabama United Cerebral Palsy “Dare to Dream” Telethon will be held August 1st and 2nd at the Anniston Meeting Center. Executive Director Linda Johns says 65-percent of people served by the UCP have disabilities other than Cerebral Palsy, to include Down Syndrome, Autism, physical disabilities, or traumatic brain injury. She says she hopes you will join them for this year’s telethon. The 57th Annual UCP Telethon will be held on Saturday from 6:00PM until 10:00PM, and Sunday, from noon until 6:00PM. There will be a silent auction with some fabulous items and great on-stage talent and delicious food from local restaurants at the concession stand. All proceeds from the event will help sponsor therapeutic services and support programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities in our community.
