Sheriff’s Deputies Seize Drugs and Stolen Property


Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office Deputies recover stolen property and seize more than four ounces of methamphetamines valued at 12-thousand dollars from a convicted felons house in the area of Old Piedmont Gadsden Highway and Law Martin Road. According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s office, deputies were conducting directed patrols for reports of theft, burglaries, and drug dealing. As soon as deputies arrived in the area a vehicle was pulling out of the driveway. The driver saw the deputies then exited the vehicle and ran into the woods. Deputies observed numerous weapons and house hold items stacked in the back seat of the vehicle. They obtained a search warrant that resulted in the stolen items being recovered from burglaries in Piedmont, a motorcycle theft from Florida, a John Deere riding lawn mower theft from Centre and other stolen property. The home owner also possessed firearms in the house.
