HS Football Preview: Saks

Saturday, August 8, 2015

Next up on the tour of high school football fall camps, TV24 Sports checked in with the Saks Wildcats on Thursday. The Wildcats are coming off a 10-2 season with a fourth consecutive trip to the playoffs. Last season ended on a sour note with a loss in the second round. That game has served as motivation for this team through spring ball and in the summer.

We are not far removed from the days when Saks won between four and seven games per season. Now with a 23-2 record over the last two years, it's easy to get caught up in the hype of consistent winning football. Head coach Jonathan Miller told us that the glory on Friday nights begins way before the lights turn on and his team understands that.

Saks will play a jamboree game on Friday August 21th at St. Clair County. They will open the regular season the following week (28th) against Wellborn.
