Blue Bell trucks have hit the road to deliver ice cream. Weeks ago at the Sylacauga facility Blue Bell cranked up its machines and they began evaluating their enhanced production processes after a recall. Texas-based Blue Bell Creameries issued a voluntary recall in April for all of its products on the market after two samples of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream tested positive for listeria, a potentially deadly bacteria. Blue Bell issued the recall which included ice cream, frozen yogurt, sherbet and frozen snacks distributed in 23 states, including Alabama and international locations. The manufacturer said products had a potential to be contaminated.
