When was the last time you had a vacation? According to a survey by the American Psychological Association, it says sometimes we really do need a “Mental Health Day,” or week. Many of us will call in sick, but we don’t take a break when we are stressed. The survey says stress at work can make us physically ill. The study gives ways your body is telling you to take a vacation. It says if you are overreacting to small problems, making mistakes, or if your co-workers are concerned about you. You may need a break. Excess stress greatly interferes with health and has real physical symptoms. You may suffer from backaches, headaches, stomach aches, and eye strain. If you’ve been to the doctor and you aren’t sick, you may just need a vacation.
