Woman Falls at Cherokee Rock Village

A woman was injured, after reportedly falling some twelve to fifteen feet at Cherokee Rock Village over the weekend. The accident took place around 3:30 Sunday afternoon with the victim being air-lifted from the scene after the Sand Rock Fire Department set up a landing zone; Cherokee EMS was on the scene as well. The woman, whose name has not yet been released, was a resident of Oneonta reportedly in her early 40’s. According to emergency personnel she suffered a number of abrasions and lacerations as a result of the fall, including injuries to both wrists and possible injuries around the head and face.
