Ready Sunday Remembers Lives Lost Palm Sunday

Tuesday, September 15, 2015

ReadyAlabama, which is Calhoun County Emergency Management Agency’s emergency preparedness campaign would like to invite all church families throughout our region to participate in a statewide "Ready Sunday" event in remembrance of the lives lost in the Palm Sunday 1994 tornado disaster at Goshen United Methodist. ReadySunday is a collaborative effort geared to encourage Alabama’s faith-based organizations and their families to take simple steps to prepare for emergencies in their homes, businesses, schools, and churches. Siskey says, not only will congregation members turn to their faith in times of crisis, but community members will seek out faith-based organizations for comfort and support. The tenth annual ReadySunday initiative is on September 27th.
