Gadsden Man Charged with Attempting to Elude

A Gadsden man fails to stop and is accused of attempting to elude a Cedar Bluff Police Officer while driving a motorcycle. According to Cedar Bluff Police, 19-year-old Ian Parrott was arrested Thursday afternoon when an officer attempted to stop the Kawasaki Ninja he was driving in excess of 90 miles per hour on the Cedar Bluff Bridge. Parrott failed to stop and eluded the officer up Highway 9 North where speeds reached in excess of 100 miles per hour.  Another Cedar Bluff Officer joined the pursuit before the chase ended on County Road 121 near the state line.  Once 

stopped, Parrott told officers he ran because he already knew he was speeding. Parrott is charged with Fleeing Attempting to Elude and was being held on a $500 bond. He was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center.
