The metal industry’s trusted expert for fast, on-demand induction furnace rebuilding and repairing hosts a ground breaking for its $4-million Anniston facility expansion. EMSCO announced the expansion last week and says the growth will add 10 to 15 new jobs to its current workforce. President Jim Dyer says the investment is not only in the building, but also in manufacturing and equipment, research and testing. Dyer says Anniston’s expansion will allow for greater research and development and manufacturing. EMSCO is located at 1501 Sentinel Drive. EMSCO Inc. was founded as Electric Melting Service Company in 1977. It serves half of the foundries in the United States. The company’s Southern Operations has been located in Anniston for more than 30 years. Dyer says they will be under roof and in production in the first half of 2016.
