Three Arrested on Drug Charges in Cedar Bluff

A six-month long drug investigation culminates in the arrest of three people in Cedar Bluff. According to investigators with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation and County-Drug Unit, 32-year-old Jeremy Crane of Cedar Bluff, 24-year-old James Barnes, and 35-year-old Robert Abernathy of Piedmont, were arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Crane was additionally charged with unlawful distribution of methamphetamine and illegal possession of firearms. All three are currently being held at the Cherokee County Detention center awaiting a bond hearing.
