Receiving Stolen Property Arrest

An Altoona man is accused of receiving three stolen guns in Etowah County. According to Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin, 29-year-old Charles Snead was arrested and charged with one count of second degree receiving stolen property. Snead was arrested Wednesday and is accused of being in possession of the guns that were stolen from a home located on US Highway 278, in Altoona. The victim reported the stolen guns on September 29. The stolen guns, two Remington rifles and a New England shotgun, were recovered. Snead is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on $10,000 cash bond for receiving the stolen property.
