Doctor Indicted by Calhoun County Grand Jury

An Anniston doctor faces charges in the death of his wife. A Calhoun County Grand jury indicted 65-year-old Frederick Leigh Hemphill of criminally negligent homicide. Investigators say Ginger Lynn McEwan Hemphill died at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital on February 19. Doctor Hemphill is accused of withholding medical treatment for his wife. Investigators arrested him October 19th and he was released after posting bond. Dr. Hemphill is scheduled to appear in court on November 19th.
