Busy Weekend for HSPRAC

The upcoming Halloween weekend is going to be a busy one for supporters of the Humane Society Pet Rescue and Adoption Center in Gadsden. The fund-raising fun starts tomorrow evening with a wine tasting event at the Stone Market in Downtown Gadsden. Admission to the event is to simply donate an item from the Humane Society's wish and need list. Then – the fun really gets started on Friday night with the group's 4th Annual Monster Mash Halloween Bash. The third event of the holiday weekend takes place on Saturday morning in Downtown Gadsden...and that is the 7th Annual “Howl-O-Weenie Paw-ty” and Pet Parade. Dress your pets up for Halloween and join other pet lovers at the corner of 4th and Broad for a pet costume contest and then parade your pet around town for some pet trick-or-treating with the downtown merchants. All three fun events help to raise money for the shelter. Tomorrow night's wine tasting event at the Stone Market will be held from 5:30 until 7:30. Friday's Monster Mash Halloween Bash will be held at the Hardin Center for Cultural Arts. Tickets are $30 each and the doors will open at 6:30 that evening. Then – for Saturday's “Howl-O-Weenie Paw-ty and Pet Parade” - Registration will start at 9:00am with the costume judging and parade starting at 10. Registration is only $5 per animal and everyone will receive a goody bag courtesy of PetCo.
