Two Arrested for Burglary in the Tucker’s Chapel Community

Two men are in jail after they are accused of breaking into a home in the Tucker’s Chapel Community. Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver says the owner of the home notified the 911 security and indicated the presence of intruders at his home on County Road 47. 50-year-old William Blevins of Fort Payne and 26-year-old Christopher Jones were both charged with Third Degree Burglary, First Degree Theft of Property, Resisting Arrest, and Attempting to Elude. Jones was also charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Third Degree Promoting Prison Contraband. Both men are being held in the Cherokee Detention Center. Investigators were also able to recover the property stolen from the victim’s residence.
