Annual Patriots Day Luncheon

The Gadsden and Etowah County community has set aside some time this week to honor local patriots and veterans. The Gadsden-Etowah Patriots Association will hold its 41st Annual Patriots Day Luncheon on Wednesday at Convention Hall. This year's luncheon won't have a special speaker – but – it will feature a special musical presentation by the Gadsden City High School Show Band and – as always – the induction ceremony for this year's Patriots Hall of Honor...which will be introducing eleven new members. Immediately following the luncheon, the community will hold this year's Veterans Parade. After a 2-year hiatus, the parade is expected bring out a huge crowd of participants and supporters to honor the community's many military veterans. Doors will open Wednesday morning at 11 for the luncheon. Tickets are $10 each and include your lunch. Tickets *can* be purchased at the door. The parade will follow the luncheon and is set to begin at 2pm. Shuttle buses will be provided for those who would like to ride from Convention Hall to the parade route and back.
