Sexual Abuse Suspect Arrested in Oklahoma

A Glencoe man on the run from law enforcement for being accused of crimes against children now awaits extradition back to Alabama. According to Cherokee Sheriff Jeff Shaver 32-year-old Nathaniel Maier was arrested on Wednesday in Oklahoma after a week on the run. Maier became wanted by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office after being indicted by a Cherokee County Grand Jury for Sexual Abuse of a Child under 12. The U.S. Marshal’s Service was able to locate and capture Maier in Ardmore, Oklahoma. The suspect is also wanted for similar charges in Calhoun County.

Maier has been transported to the detention facility in Carter County, Oklahoma.
