An organization which claims it is a considerable force for good works is helping to build a Habitat for Humanity House in Etowah County. The Alabama Power Service Organization is working to improve the quality of life of one Alabama family. Today, the organization framed up all the rooms and put on the home’s roof.  More than 20 volunteers were out helping. The volunteers came from both Etowah County and Anniston. State President Elect Tony Smith says it’s their way of helping to rebuild a community. The organization includes more than 5,000 Alabama Power, Southern Nuclear and Southern Company Services employees and their families. It is comprised from the thirteen chapters across the state. Members typically donate more than 50,000 volunteer hours to communities each year.
