An event to allocate funding to area non-profits is getting ready to take place. The Gadsden Service Guild’s annual rummage sale will be held tomorrow at Gadsden’s Convention Hall, located at 344 South First Street. The sale begins at 6 a.m. General ticket entry is $1 and can be purchased at the door. Doors will close at 11 a.m. and will re-open at 12 p.m. for a $5 bag sale. All ticket and item purchases must be paid in cash. Gadsden Service Guild representative Kimberly says you can find really unique items. She says volunteers enjoyed packing everything and getting it ready for sale. The rummage sale is a two-fold event. Not only is it a sale of gently-used items such as blankets, furniture, clothing and children’s toys it is a fundraiser to support 9 Etowah County service organizations. According to reports, last year, the Guild was able to donate over $19,000 to thirteen organizations.
