The NCAA's early signing period is officially open and high school seniors around the country are jumping at the chance to solidify their college decisions. At White Plains High School senior golfer Layne Dyar signed with Jacksonville State University. The Gamecocks are getting a great talent in Dyar. Last spring, she helped lead the school to the Class 4A-5A state championship. It marked the first title in any sport in school history. The Gamecocks also have a strong program. The ladies have won five conference championships and finished second in the 2015 OVC tournament. Before she heads off to college, Dyar will look to lead the Lady Wildcats to a second consecutive state championship this spring.
