Pleasant Valley Girls Win Cross Country State Championship

In the featured video, TV24's Chase Robinson chronicles the Pleasant Valley Girls state championship victory. AHSAA Release: Class 3A Pleasant Valley, coached by Brad Hood, posted its first state championship since 1997 and its second girls’ title overall with 66 points in the 3A girls’ race. Defending champion American Christian was second at 78 and T.R. Miller was third with 83. Montgomery Academy freshman Tara Katz clocked 18:46.73 to win her first state title. Allie Nelson of T.R. Miller was second (19:07.00). Leading Pleasant Valley freshman Juliana Ballew and eighth grader Emma Hood, finishing 11th and 12th, respectively.
