Authorities arrest a Boaz man in connection to a recent burglary in Etowah County. Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin says 19-year-old David Johnson is charged with one count of second degree burglary, one count of second degree theft of property and one count of possession of burglar’s tools, all are felonies. Investigators say Johnson broke into a residence on John L. Gap Road. The home owner was inside the home when she heard someone outside attempting to break in through a door. The victim hid inside of her home and called 911. Sardis City Police Chief James Harp heard the dispatched call, responded to the scene and captured Johnson as he was leaving the home. Johnson is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on $10,000 bond.
