School Placed on Lock Down

Ohatchee High School and Elementary School were both placed on lock down this morning after Ohatchee Police followed a fleeing suspect of a domestic altercation that involved a shooting. The police followed Felipe Maxwell of Ohatchee in his car to the parking lot of the elementary school. According to Ohatchee Police Chief Jason Oden Maxwell is accused of shooting his stepfather. Maxwell was in custody 10 minutes after a routine traffic stop and there was no threat of danger to the school children. The lock down was a precautionary measure. The School Resource Officer was at the school during the event. Authorities say Maxwell is charged with First Degree Domestic Violence.
