JSU Prepares For Rematch With UTC In FCS Playoffs

It is postseason time in Jacksonville.

After earning a first round bye, the top seeded JSU Gamecocks will play Chattanooga - who eliminated Fordham 50-20 in the first round. The off week was helpful in many ways, but the biggest benefit was the team got key players some much-needed rest and back from injuries.

The JSU-Chattanooga matchup has become a recently familiar rivalry. The two teams have met six times since the 2008 season and the Gamecocks have won five of those meetings. In this year's season opener, JSU earned a tough 23-20 win in Chattanooga but they say the Mocs are a much improved team.

Saturday's game marks the 40th overall meeting with UTC holding a 26-13 advantage. However, JSU has won 8 of the last 10 including three in a row.

Kickoff: 1:00pm at Burgess-Snow Field (Jacksonville) on ESPN3
