Stop Using Crib Bumper
Doctors want parents to stop using crib bumpers after a significant increase in infant deaths. Available data shows the number of baby deaths tied to the common crib bedding have tripled in the last seven years. That’s according to authors of a study that looked at infant deaths since 1985. There are no federal regulations restricting the use of crib bumpers. The American Academy of Pediatrics has advised parents against using them, or any soft bedding.
