JSU Defense Gets Ready For Challenging CSU Offense

Jacksonville State continued its preparations for the second postseason game on Friday night against Charleston Southern. The Buccaneers are 10-2 and champions of the Big South Conference. Their offense averages more than 350 yards per game with 212 yards coming from their option rushing attack. The JSU defense understands that it will have to play with great discipline and technique to keep them off the field. This will be the Buccaneers second trip to the state of Alabama in 2015. CSU lost to the Crimson Tide 56-6 on November 21st. Head coach Jamey Chadwell says the JSU's defensive front will be the best they have seen since playing the Tide. They are also embracing the underdog role as they head into the matchup against the top-ranked Gamecocks. Kickoff of the JSU-CSU quarterfinal game is 7:00pm from Burgess-Snow Field. ESPN2 will carry the game on national TV.
