We apparently can’t get through the day without the internet. That’s according to a new Pew Research Center poll. Overall, 73-percent of Americans say they use the web on a daily basis.  Of that number, one in five – or 21-percent- report going online “ almost constantly.” 42-percent say they use the web several times a day. 10-percent go online about once a day. 13-percent say they use the web several times a week or less often.  By age:  36-percent of 18 to 29 year olds say they spend most of their free time online. Among people 65 and older, just 6-percent report going online that much. The Pew Research Center says this is the first time it has included “almost constantly” as an answer option in its survey of internet usage.
